Concrete Slab Finishing (New and Replacement)
If your basement or garage concrete floor slab is cracked or arching, we can assess the problem and provide solutions to replace the slab. We usually begin with an investigative hole in the floor to determine the floor composition.
It is common to see older basement floor slabs be too thin, lack free draining grave, and lacking vapour barrier, which are all basic requirements of a slab on grade. Our slab replacement usually consists of 3/4" clear stone, 2" thick extruded polystyrene insulation (30 psi compressive strength); and concrete thickness, mix and reinforcement to suit the application. We also provide control joints with self-levelling sealants to control cracking in larger slabs.
